Playing Around
Sorry I haven't been good at keeping in touch, I switched foster homes and I've been having a blast. They have three little people and another greyhound for me to play with. There is so much to see and do here! Foster mom says that I'm so sweet and loving. Plus she says I have the puppy dog eyes down to an art. She gives me lots of belly rubs which I love!

A Nice Stroll in the Evening
So, I've been learning lots of new things in my foster home. One thing I LOVE is taking walks! Foster mom takes me on a walk every evening with one of my foster siblings. I don't pull on the leash at all, but sometimes I stick so close to foster mom that I bump into her. But I'm getting the hang of it.
Here we are starting our walk. I'm on the right and foster sister Janey's on the left.
Hey Jane, which way should we go?
This is a gratuitous shot of cute greyhound bums.
And of course, after every good walk, one must take a rest. I didn't even wait for a dog bed.
Are you looking for someone to share a stroll in the evening? Then go ahead and put in your application, so we can meet and see if we're a perfect match!
Tail wags and kisses,
Tessie

Retirement is something to smile about!
Hello everyone!
My name's Tessie; my foster mom also calls me Tess for short. Wow, a lot has been happening in my life over the past few days! On Saturday, I left kennel life behind and embarked on this thing they call retirement. So far, it's been a pretty nice ride. I had a couple of road trips, got bathed, groomed and microchipped. Then I arrived at my foster mom's house. There are a lot of other dogs here: 3 are greyhounds like me, and the other is a really little dog like nothing I'd ever seen before. Foster mom calls him a schnauzer. We're all getting along fine.
Foster mom says I'm one of the happiest girls she's ever seen. This was me on the trip home from Maryland. I was so excited to see where we were going!
There are lots of things to learn when you retire: like how to climb stairs, where to do your "business", and where's the best spot for snoozing. But I'm getting it all down pretty quickly. It is exhausting though, so sometimes I just have to stop and take a nap with a few of my friends.
I hope you'll come back often and check on my progress with this retirement gig. I like my foster home, but I'm really hoping to find a forever home of my very own. Who knows? Maybe it's you!
Woof,
Tessie
